"That is the worse we have played this season."

Brian Little

*Sunday Life*
Sunday, 27 October 1996

ASTON Villa's proposed £4.2 million transfer of Savo Milosevic to Perugia is expected to be completed next week.

The Serb international lost his place in the Villa side a week ago and manager Brian Little spent last night putting the final details to the move.

"The deal is in place and I expect it will be completed next week," revealed Little after his side's 1-0 defeat at Sunderland.

The Villa manager refused to comment on the possibility of spending the cash on Liverpool striker Stan Collymore.

He said: "Anyone who knows me knows I never make a comment about any player who is in contract to another football club it is only right and proper.”

Little was more forthcoming, however, on his team's disappointing performance, saying:

"That is the worse we have played this season."
